My Story

We have WEEKLY transports to the northeast! If you find a pyr you love, you can have him/her home that week or the following! Eve is a beautiful, 3- year old, mixed breed pocket Pyr that weighs 55 pounds with a Boxer head, muscular build, and rabbit soft fur. She gets along very well with other dogs, is playful and enjoys chasing squirrels and birds out of the yard. At her foster home she is living with two adult male Pyrs and a male Yorkie. Eve had a difficult start to her life, and she came to GPRS as a young, pregnant puppy that was never socialized properly and was very afraid of people. After Eve's puppies were adopted, she began the process of learning to trust people. She developed a small circle of human friends that she trusted but rapidly retreated from other people until about six months ago when she began to greet strangers with a happy face and wagging tail. Her circle of friends grew rapidly, and she was ready for a foster home to teach her house manners and get her adoption ready. Eve adapted to home life quickly and has become a very affectionate girl that now approaches strangers to interact and get some affection. She is appreciative of attention and has started to lick the hand that pets her. Eve learned the routines of her foster home and is a good fit getting along with everyone. Eve had been at headquarters for over 3 years and all the people that know Eve are proud of her and the changes she has made in her behavior. The best home for her would have another dog or dogs and a calm environment. Eve is a success story just waiting for a new home to put the best happy ending to her story. Here's what one of our adopters says about our ability to match dogs: - "I am not sure what very real MAGIC you have from across the continent, but I really love it. You have done it again! Another love match!- Thank you for four out of five Pyrenees coming from GPRS and each of them have been perfect for us.… And for each other! One month together and “Lady“is healing and happy. Thank you for all of your very hard work. Keep honing your intuition … it is spot on!" ....Julie P ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206.
