My Story
Hi there, we are 34 Chihuahua and Dachshund mixes who were living a nightmare in the most deplorable and disgusting hoarder house imaginable. The floors were covered in filth, dank with urine, floorboards missing, and dogs in cages stacked high. Many of us had never even been outdoors, ever. Sadly, we had to live that way. October 29th was FREEDOM DAY! We were all terrified and a few still are but coming around. Even though our lives sucked, that’s all we knew, and change can be scary. All of us were missing hair from fleas/filth/poor nutrition. Many of us were in desperate need of dental cleanings and teeth extractions. It was quite an undertaking for 4 Little Paws Rescue and through social media, so many lovely humans offered to foster us. Now that we have all been vaccinated, spayed, or neutered with dental work done, and some of us already feeling friendly, we can start our journey to finding love and kindness and living normal doggy lives.
My name is Fideo, I am a 4-1/2-year-old male Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with soulful eyes, I weigh 14 lbs, and I am still shy, but just until I get to know you and then I will be your biggest fan. For now, I am a quiet couch potato whose favorite sport is watching all the goings on in my foster home, gazing at you lovingly, or snuggling beside you when we sit down to relax. I get along with other dogs and enjoy their company and I currently live with a kitty cat who doesn't faze me. I have gobs of doggy toys to play with but honestly, I'm not sure what to do with them and I'm not playful anyway. I’m sweet and sensitive, cuddly and affectionate, and I’m well-behaved, no chewing or digging, I rarely bark and I am already housebroken and know how to use a doggy door and a potty pad. I will walk on a leash with some encouragement and go for a ride in the car without a problem. I’m just a very nice boy looking for love and a forever home somewhere in or near Connecticut because I'll be moving there next week.
