Floyd Border Collie & Husky Mix Pocatello, ID

This is Floyd. He is a 4 year-old husky/border collie mix with the biggest heart. Once you become one of “his people” he has so much love for you and is always so excited to see you.

He loves spending time outside, warm or cold weather. He also loves a good cuddle and scratch. His favorite activities are running, chasing pinecones when you hit them with a tennis racket, and chewing up a good bone. He loves little hiking adventures or just a good old walk around the neighborhood. We have taken him camping and he loves car rides.

Floyd is a little bit timid and protective when he first meets a new person but once he warms up, he will always remember and love you. He loves being with other dogs, with kids and even loves cats.

Floyd is a very smart guy. He catches onto things quickly and is so eager to please. He knows basic commands (sit, down, shake, go to your room, etc.) but definitely has the potential to learn a lot.

Floyd’s need’s list is pretty short: a decent sized yard and active family so that he can run and play. He would be amazing as an only pet (he loves to be the center of attention) or would be amazing with another dog or cat. He does very well with kids- although he can be a bit clumsy and has knocked one or two down in his excitement to be with them. He comes from a multi-pet home (dog and cat) and has lived with a newborn to two year old. He is used to being an indoor dog but, like mentioned previously, absolutely loves being outside-sometimes it’s hard to convince him to come inside.
