Frankie Chihuahua Durango, CO

Frankie is a wonderful senior chihuahua who was rescued in Gallup, NM. He was abandoned by his family and left in a flower pot outside of the overcrowded shelter down there, and thankfully we were able to transfer him to Durango, CO and help him get ready for adoption. When he was abandoned he had a few health problems that we have been working on helping him recover from.
When Frankie arrived he was suffering from a large perineal hernia, he wasn't neutered, and he badly needed a dental. On 3/6/24 we were able to get his hernia repaired by a surgical specialist in Durango, as well as get him neutered. He is doing amazing and is recovering like nothing ever happened! He needs another week with us before his sutures and staples can be removed, and we'd like to schedule his dental as well, but he will be adoptable by 3/20/24.
Frankie is an incredibly sweet, loving, happy and resilient boy. He lives for warm laps, yummy treats, and a person who can be by his side all day. He does great with other dogs and with cats, he loves children and men, and just really wants to be held and warm all day long. We love this little guy!
