My Story

Age: 1.5 yrs • Weight: • Breed Guess: Blue nose Pit Adopt fee: $350 Georgie is a very special boy who had a rough life. He was found in Lemont at the back of a warehouse abandoned, standing next to his crate. He was scared and shut down. We believe he was left out there out in the cold locked up in his metal crate. In order to free himself broke free out of his crate. He came to us covered in feces, his paw pads torn and cut up and malnourished. Georgie is a good boy who needs to gain weight with several small meals a day and time to heal mentally and physically. In the short time he has been with us he has shown great potential. All that is needed is time. Take a moment and read his pupdate and you will see what a sweet boy Georgie is. Pupdate Intake Date: 11/3 Location: Lemont Foster Dog Name: Georgie Age: 1.5 yrs Breed: pitbull Color: gray/silver Weight: unknown. 35# Any Medical or Special Needs: eats high protein meal 4-5x a day. Give lots of love yet able to redirect when behavior needs correcting. A home with routine routine routine Cute things your foster does that could be endearing or a personality point that would make people want to meet him/her: licks the heck out of you! Wraps his paws around you to hug. Opens his mouth as if he's talking to you when he knows he's earned a treat Share a little bit about your fosters week: Georgie has adjusted to humans and his environment flawlessly. Within a day he learned that his human will come home after a few hours to feed him, let him out and love him. He can even wait to use the bathroom until his person comes home. He is still adjusting to new sounds and people but he is loving the kisses, attention and ability to lay comfortably. He is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. We cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within three days of approval.
