My Story

If you've been looking for a silly, sweet, affectionate gal, meet Gigi! Gigi is a hound-terrier mix, with a copper coat and skinny long legs. She is 4 years old and is considered a medium-sized pup at 50 lbs.Gigi is a happy, curious pup that loves to be home and benefits from slow introductions to new people, places, and dogs. Though she may be cautious initially, once you let her come to you, GiGi rewards you with trust and blossoms into her cuddly, affectionate self. She loves to play with chew toys, be buried in blankets, and to take naps with her person. She also loves locating the sunny spot on the rug and soaking it in. Gigi will love to join you on daily walks and a good jog or frolic once in a while. She can be fearful in new situations and vocal with surprises such as new people or noises, so it is preferred she have an experienced dog owner and leash handler who knows how to redirect and reward positive behaviors.GiGi would do best in a quiet, consistent home, with older kids ages 13+ who understand her needs, and maybe a calm, medium-low energy dog companion. We are not sure how she feels about cats. Gigi has excelled with her leash training and socialization, and is fully house and crate trained. She has basic commands mastered - sit, down, wait, come, off, crate - but is a smart girl and would love to learn more! GiGi has also learned "go" if you need a bit of space, simply accompany with a point away. Gigi can't wait to meet you!The adoption fee for Gigi is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
