Meet Giml! He is a Beagle mix about 6 months old. Just like his name sake, the Dwarven king, (Lord of the Ring) he is a brave little soul. He has lived his young life outside with his mom. Since coming into foster care at the beginning of March he has experienced so many firsts. First time living in a home, wearing a harness and leash, getting vaccinated, sleeping in a crate and using a doggie door to go outside to potty. Gimli is learning fast! He knows ‘sit’ and is becoming more and more comfortable with being crated. He figured out the couch and someone's lap are happy places.
Gimli is food motivated and willing to work for treats. He has been to restaurants and on car rides all without issues. He has met several dogs and is respectful of his elders and gentle with little puppies, but loves to play hard with other playful dogs.
Gimli lived with young children and should be fine in a home with kids and other dogs. In true Beagle fashion he loves to sniff and sing along when others bark.
Gimli is being fostered by the same person that fostered his brother Pippin! We hope he, too, can now find his forever family.
