Harlow

Harlow is an estimated 2-year-old pitbull mix boy that was found with another dog outside in the freezing cold on the streets of Memphis, covered in wounds and bite marks, and with an old jaw injury. Luckily, he was taken in by a Good Samaritan, and they were able to get him to a vet to have him fully evaluated. This sweet boy is luckily heartworm negative, and his jaw injury does not inhibit how he eats or breathes, but does make him look a bit more unique than your average dog. He is now neutered, and will be on some pain and anti-inflammatory medications as well as antibiotics while his skin heals. While people have definitely failed this poor boy, he has not let it interfere with his wonderful temperament one bit. He is friendly with all people and dogs, but does need a home with no cats. He has done amazing with keeping a clean kennel, and is just the sweetest boy who wants to be loved on and snuggled as he recovers. While we have secured transport to get this sweet boy to Lexington, we still need a foster who can commit to giving him lots of rest and TLC! This dog has clearly had a rough life, and was just discarded like trash. However, we know his story isn’t over!! Those who have the worst past life, blossom into the best dogs!! This boy has some healing to do before being ready to go to his forever home, but we are accepting applications for pre-approval now, and would even be open to a foster-to-adopt home!
