PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - HOWIE BREED - Mixed SIZE - About 18 pounds AGE - 9 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Sweet Howie is a happy fellow who came to us from our favorite West Virginia shelter partner. This happy fellow is seeking a human buddy! He is a loving, gentle soul with a happy spirit and plenty of energy. He would make a great pet in an active home, but is equally happy being a couch potato! Fully grown at just 18 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Howie is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Howie a safe environment in which to run and play. Howie is not well suited to small children or very small dogs who could be upset by his enthusiasm. Our adoption process starts with your email to [email protected] or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Howie and meets our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with your family and Howie at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
