Meet Icelandic Tail-cap(types of hat) We call him Landic or Red. Landic came to us as a stray. This boy was terrified of everything. Noises, movement, being touch anywhere on the head or neck. He would hunch down in walking. When he would sleep he would curl into the tightest ball he could. He seemed almost afraid to sleep. He started to relax in his foster home by watching the other dogs. H slowly started coming out of his shell. The help of the other dogs was amazing. They encouraged him to play and run. Now he is enjoys this. He will come to you for pets. Still nervous with people he does not know but treats help him warm up. Give him a little courage. He no longer curls into a very tight ball and does not hide his head. He is fairly good on leash and will set right beside you. He does still jump at noise and fast movements but with trust it will improve. He has a sad look but that is even turning into tail wags and smiles now and again. He is sweet and gentle. Does well with cats and other dogs. He will do great with some one who is patient, quiet and calm. He needs a soft love. Head will lay his head in your lap as he snuggles up to you. Landic is a great loveable boy. approx. 1 1/2year and 52 lbs.
