Johnny Beagle & Basset Hound Mix London, OH

Johnny is a 6-year-old Beagle/Bassett mix. A man bought him and his brother Jake when they were puppies and kept them outside in a pen their whole lives. He planned to take them hunting but he never did and then he died.

Johnny does great with all people and the other dogs. He is happy, sweet and affectionate. He wants to be where the people are, eager to make up for lost time. He is doing well with house training and uses the doggy door at the rescue to potty outside.

Johnny is healthy but at 40 lbs, he could stand to lose a little and is on a weight loss plan. He takes inexpensive thyroid pills.

He is neutered, up to date on shots and fully vetted and microchipped. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard for him.

Johnny is looking for a loving, responsible, pet person with a fenced yard (we'll check!)
