My Story

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy's MEGA Adoption event, Home For The Holidays, on November 18th from 11am-3pm at Woodbridge High School (1 Samuel Lupo Pl, Woodbridge, NJ 07095). Meet Jalena! Jalena is a 4 month old, 19 pound Lab mix! She loves to play, cuddle and being close to her people. She prefers going everywhere with everyone, a true family member. She enjoys playing fetch and pet rubs. Throw any toy and she will bring it back to you and will go again and again. She loves to lick and play with kids and dogs of all ages and sizes (even little toddlers)! Jalena uses pee pads very well. She's only had 1 accident! She will need to be trained to go outside but is a quick learner, as she's already started to learn the sit command. A little treat encouragement and you will have a great listener in no time. She loves to be rewarded and receive praise. Jalena is very comfortable in her cage; she goes in without a problem and will stay quiet. She may bark when you leave due to a fear of missing out on the fun but quickly settles in. Some of her favorite things are TREATS, her squeaky toys and food puzzles. She loves to eat but feels like the food tastes better when she eats it all in 10 seconds! Her foster uses the food maze plate to make it more enjoyable. If you're looking for a great companion, someone who loves endless play, eating, and cuddling, Adopt Jalena! Jalena is being fostered in Waterbury, CT. Her adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
