Meet Jet! Jet is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the Adoption Donation section.) Jet is a special island boy! He was rescued by Dr. Laura (one of our amazing professional partners) and brought to WA from St. Kitts, an island in the Caribbean. We aren't sure how thrilled he was to trade the white sands of the islands for the white snows of Spokane! Jet is a male puppy of the delightful breed Coconut Retriever. What's a coconut retriever, you ask? The stray dog population of the islands consists of many breeds, and they have combined into what is affectionately called a coconut retriever. Since they embody many breeds, they come in all shapes, color and sizes but tend to be in the 35-40 lb. range when full grown. Even as a puppy, Jet displays the typical coconut retriever traits smart, healthy, happy, loving, active, and very loyal. Our rescue has fostered many of these delightful St. Kitts pups, and they make wonderful family companions. Jet has met strangers, guests in the home, children over 10, cats, squirrels, and other dogs and has made friends with them all. His laid-back demeanor wins everyone over. Jet is picking up potty training quickly he goes outside with minimal accidents and is being crate trained. He enjoys walks with typical puppy exuberance and curiosity. Jet sleeps through the night as well. He loves everything and dislikes nothing; Jet is a sweet, friendly, affectionate ball of fluff looking for the perfect home (and maybe a little beach time!). Jet spends his days getting lots of playtime and adventures with his foster family. He is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for his perfect home. Want to meet Jet? At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Minimum Adoption donation is $550 for dogs under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers puppies throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho and Oregon. If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have hella good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member. Since the dogs that come up the Path of Hope are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore, breed and adult sizes are our best guesses, and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate.
