My Story

YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL BASIC QUESTIONS BELOW. Please read carefully Before emailing. This dog is fostered in Hopkins MN. Josie is a darling Heeler who was born on 3/8/23. She was purchased from a “breeder” and has grown up with other dogs, older kids and cats. Josie was found to be bi-laterally deaf after testing by her previous home. Deafness is genetic in Heelers so not a surprising diagnosis. Josie was sadly surrendered to rescue only due to human medical needs. Josie is settling in to her foster home and doing well. She is house and crate trained, learning several basic signs well, and learning all about good leash manners. Josie loves her fenced yard and playing with her dog friend. She is going to be a good fit in a variety of homes. *Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares. *We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to the dogs location in MN to meet.* *Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal. If you are interested in adoption, your prompt responses are the best way to get through the adoption screening* *Paws First does not accept checks or credit cards. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ADOPTIONS AT ANY POINT IN THE ADOPTION SCREENING PROCESS.* If you have read this far, you are ready to start the adoption process! Please email to get started.
