Katie

Katie is a 1 year old, 16 lb, parsons terrier mix. Requirements: Another playful dog, fenced yard, sleeping on the bed and patient person needed!! Katie plays her little heart out with her doggie siblings. Chase and tug of war are her favorite games. She is will put a smile on your face for sure. She also likes to hang out on the bed, sit in my lap and sleeps right up against me at night. She is housebroken but she cannot be crated without her screaming. We have tried and have decided for her mental health she doesn’t need the crate. She does not walk on leash bc she freaks out as well. Katie is a very sweet little girl as you can see but she is VERY SHY of new things and new people. She wants nothing to do with new people so she needs a home who isn’t looking for instant gratification. She needs a home who will be patient and allow her to come around on her time. It could be days, it could be weeks but she is super smart and wants to be loved so I think it won’t take long. She hasn’t been around cats that we know of but would be fine. Older kids would be best if you have them bc if her shyness of loud noises. History: someone drove behind Target and dropped her out of a car. A lady who works at one of the other stores saw it happen and tried to get her for a week. She couldn’t catch her but when she would bring her dog, Katie wanted to see the dog. I got involved and we trapped her within an hour. No one claimed her at the shelter so she became a forgotten paws girl. Spayed, microchipped and fully vetted. Adoption fee is $175. Located in Acworth Georgia but available to the Greater Atlanta Area. Approved home gets a 2 week trial (possibly longer as needed) prior to official adoption.
