My Story

Say hello to Layla! This is one resilient dog! Layla was tied out to a trailer and, not surprisingly, found herself with a little family! She was dropped at the shelter and needed a hero to save her family! Times are very tough right now with an over abundance of animals overflowing in shelters and rescues. Layla has finished her motherly duties and is now looking for that family to give her a second chance at life! Her first go-round was no picnic but we are amazed at how friendly, loving and forgiving she is! Layla looks like a Shepherd mix, the shelter puts her around 3 years of age and she will go to a new family fully vetted, including spay and microchip! She's a nice medium size at around 48 pounds. Layla is in a wonderful foster home that is teaching her leash walking, crating, and general house manners. She is adjusting well from living outside to being an indoor pup! Layla does well with the children in the home, gets along very well with the other dogs and has met cats but we haven't had them full time in her environment. She will probably chase squirrels and little yard critters. Layla is potty trained, is wonderfully social and has a nice positive attitude! She is trying to make up for lost time as she loves her toys and stuffed animals. Her foster mom says she is a little hoarder, she makes collection piles of her favorite things. Layla makes a great walking / hiking partner and with patience and love, will make a wonderful addition to a new family household.
