Animal Profile: Lilly is an estimated 1-year-old 65 lb spayed female shepherd mix; she will likely weigh around 75 lbs at a healthy weight as she's pretty thin now. At the shelter, she was assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. In foster care, she has been friendly with people and reasonably quiet in the crate. She's unfamiliar with the leash and wasn't reactive to dogs at intake. She doesn't seem to have lived inside (unsure of floors). She was appropriate meeting a neutral male dog. She was good for her bath. Her ideal foster would have a secure fenced yard. Foster Update: Lilly is settling in well with her foster here in Seattle. She has made great progress in crate and potty training and is able to sleep through the night in her crate without issue. Lilly walks well on a leash with a confident handler and a training collar. She does still pull at times, especially when she sees a little critter like a squirrel, but she is making good progress in this department as well. Lilly has a lot of puppy energy so will do best with an adopter who is committed to providing her with strong leadership, plenty of exercise, and continued training. She has a friendly temperament and is good meeting all people. Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, deworming, microchip and registration, and vet exam. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Lilly was rescued from the euthanasia list at Moreno Valley Shelter in California, which is severely overcrowded. She is arriving in Seattle on Oct. 8, 2023. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
