AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY. Meet Lincoln! Lincoln is a 7 year old male yorkie mix and he weighs about 15 pounds. Lincoln arrived in rescue when his previous family could no longer care for him. He has settled into foster care, but is ready to find a forever family to call his own. His foster dad says: Lincoln is a sweet little pup! He currently lives in a foster home with two small (less than 30 lb) male dogs and gets along well with both. He was previously fostered in a home with multiple large dogs and had some anxiety around the larger breeds. Lincoln loves to cuddle and is a wonderful lap dog. He is potty trained and is great at letting you know when he needs to go outside. Lincoln is definitely a companion dog and follows his foster family around all day long. He is crate trained and will enter his crate when asked, although he takes a minute to settle once the door is closed. He loves walks and does well on a leash, however you may have to give yourself extra time since he loves to stop and smell every single blade of grass. Lincoln is afraid of storms and will cower and cry when it is thundering or downpouring and he will nip if you try to pick him up when he is in this anxious state. We have found that it is best to let him find a safe place, like behind the couch or under the bed, to hunker down until the storm passes. Lincoln has some playful energy and likes to tumble with the other dogs but only in short bursts. He will play for about twenty minutes and then want to cuddle for two hours to recover from his exhausting bout of exertion. We can not stress enough just how much this little guy wants nothing more than to be on your lap or leaning up against you. He is a massive cuddle monster who is eager to show you lots of love with kisses and snuggles. Lincoln is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. Lincoln is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $300.
