My Story

Meet Lobo and Oso, a devoted bonded father-son duo rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Lobo, a 3-year-old male shepherd mix weighing 60 pounds, is a well-mannered and crate-trained companion. His calm demeanor and potty-trained habits make him a joy both indoors and outdoors. While selective with other dogs, he finds solace in the company of his father, Oso, a 5-year-old shepherd/black mouth cur mix weighing around 90 pounds. Oso, like his son, is crate-trained and displays impeccable behavior, with no destructive tendencies. Together, they thrive in their foster home, sharing a special bond that transcends species. They tolerate female dogs so far, but don’t seem interested in playing with them. Lobo and Oso enjoy moderate activity levels, relishing walks and car rides. Although they require a fenced yard and on-leash walks, their obedience to basic commands like sit, stay, off, heel, and come ensures a smooth outdoor experience. Having overcome heartworm disease, both are now in excellent health and ready to find their forever home. Ideal for a single person, couple, or family with older children (12+), Lobo and Oso long for a loving environment where they can continue their journey together. Are you ready to welcome this pair into your heart and home? They are up to date on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, microchipped, has been dewormed multiple times, heartworm negative, and neutered. FYI: Adoption fee includes full vetting, transport, & health certificate costs to the DMV/PA or other states (depends on where they’re going - it can sometimes be a bit more & would still be less than their fees individually.. we have spent a lot more on them since we rescued them in October). Transport is available to most states in the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and Northeast. They are currently in Texas in a temporary foster home awaiting transport once we find an out of state adopter, and our transporters do runs every 2-4 weeks. We don’t offer the foster-to-adopt option or adoptions in Texas for Lobo and Oso. Ready to make Lobo and Oso a permanent part of your family?
