My Story

My name is Loki, and I am a 75lb Australian shepherd/pitbull mix boy who is looking for a loving new home. I am a super sweet boy who has undergone two extensive dog trainings, making me a great leash walker. Although I have to admit, I might chase squirrels or cats outside, so please keep that in mind. I know sit and stay, "place," and wait for my food to be served. You'll be happy to know that I am trained to stay off furniture, and I have never chewed on furniture, dug the ground, or barked excessively. Unfortunately, I am being rehomed as I have a two-year-old toddler in my current home who makes me nervous. Whenever we are together, I tend to nervously bark and whine, which makes my parents keep us apart. This has made my life less than ideal, as I am always upstairs while everyone else is downstairs. I would love to find an ideal home where there are no children (living with or visiting) and there's plenty of land to run around on. I used to live outside the city and did much better with a yard to roam in. Currently, I only get two walks a day, which is not enough for me in the city. I am a bit nervous when new people come to the house, which is something my training was trying to address. But don't worry, I am given Trazodone for situations that make me nervous. I get along great with other dogs, as I am very submissive. I do well with cats when inside, but I tend to chase them when they're outside. Are you ready for your new best friend?! INTERESTED in LOKI? Please fill out our online application at: http://www.sdroregon.com/adoption-application.htm NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes so it is not possible to setup a meet and greet prior to submitting an adoption application. If our Adoption Coordinator determines you are a good match they will contact you. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have and decide if you would like to setup a meet and greet. ADOPTION FEE is $150, and there’s a 10% Discount for Senior Citizens and Veterans. To learn more about our ADOPTION PROCESS go to: http://www.sdroregon.com/adoption-process.htm We apologize, but we are not able to answer individual questions about our dogs. We are a small, all-volunteer organization and we receive hundreds of inquiries. Thank you for your understanding.
