My Story

Introducing Lucky Ducky! Ducky is currently being fostered by a professional dog trainer where he is learning and practicing some great life skills...loose leash walking, recall, sitting politely for greetings, and is quickly mastering sit, down, stay, freestyle, mat work and targeting. He is an honor student and will transition to a new family with a great foundation of skills to building on! Ducky’s foster Mom says that he is so sweet natured, his kind disposition and goofy nature about life bring smiles wherever he goes and in everything he does. He is great with children and while excited to interact with them he easily redirects away and can calm. Ducky loves to be with his people as much as he can and will bond very heavily to his forever family. Everyone who meets him falls in love. In his former life, Ducky was an only dog, so he gets pretty excited around other dogs when playing but is fully capable of settling with some direction. He would do best with a dog that is tolerant and appreciates his exuberance and puppy antics if he is to share a home with another furry sibling. Ducky is happy and content running around the yard and just as happy snuggling up on the couch, with lots of belly rubs included of course! There is no such thing as too many snuggles. Cats and other small furries are unknown. Approximately 8.5 months old, 60 lbs, and likely large size when full grown. Ducky is available for a meet and greet in South Strafford, VT.
