Lucy came to us extremely under weight, scared, confused and heartworm positive. She has put on the pounds now and doing well. She was treated for her heartworms and is over all that now. She's now spayed, microchipped, about 56 pounds, maybe 3 years old, current on all vaccines and preventatives.
She is very timid around other dogs....don't think she was treated too well in the past by humans or other dogs. It was obvious that she's had a few litters. She was a stray in Marshall County, Ms that wondered up to a truck drivers home. He wasn't home enough to really care for her and kept trying to shoo her off. And then the unimaginable happened..sadly he committed suicide. No one was there to care for her.
She's been going to some of our adoption events and loves to get belly rubs from the humans but she is stand offish towards other dogs. She is learning that she is safe and slowly being introduced to some of the other foster dogs.
If interested in giving her a home, please send us an email and we will send you an application to fill out.

Her adoption fee is $150.
