Meet Luke, he is a Jack Russell mix. 1-2 years old and weighs 12 lbs. General Behavior: Luke is a super sweet loving dog ready to smother you in kisses. He loves cuddling up with his human on the couch or with another small dog . His favorite place to be is right by his owner. Luke is a great watchdog, he will let you know if someone knocks on the door or is outside. Likes & Dislikes: This little guy loves playing with small stuffed toys and cuddling on the couch. He loves treats and going on walks. Training: Luke is house trained and has not had any accidents in the foster's home. He's taken out a few times a day. He walks well on his leash and likes to explore. Luke behaves well on car rides. He likes to sleep near his owner . Luke is considered a flight risk. He must have a secure yard and a home where the front entrance is secure to avoid him running out. Medical: Luke tested positive for heart worms and is currently on treatment. Foster must commit to giving him his meds. Other animals: Luke is friendly and plays well. However, he does not like big or male dogs . Children: due to his high risk in fleeing, Luke needs to go to a home with no small Children. Home: Luke would Do best in a home with a secure fenced yard to run in. Due to his small Size and flight risk, Luke must always be supervised when outside even with a fenced yard. He will due best with people around since he is so social. Grooming: Luke's coat is very short and he barely sheds. He only needs his regular baths, ear cleaning and nail trims. Overall: Luke is a very sweet boy and deserves a committed adopter that will give him lots of love.
