My Story
Looking for an easygoing, friendly, and affectionate snuggler who adores kisses? Meet Madigan! This sweetheart is a small 5-6-year-old, 14lb terrier mix with a gentle demeanor. Whether you're taking a walk, resting, or spending a beautiful day in the yard, Madigan will be right by your side. She also enjoys car rides. All Madigan wants is to love and be loved. A gentle hand to pet her and warm, loving arms to hug her will fill her with happiness, appreciation, and gratitude. Madigan is super dog friendly, and is potty trained when let out regularly. She is now up to date with her vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. Although she tested heartworm positive (low), she is asymptomatic, cleared by the vet to be in perfect health. Madigan is ready to embark on her new life with a forever loving family.

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250
For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq
*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
