Meet Madison - a spunky adventure pup ready to complete your pack!
Madison is so happy to have joined us in the PNW this winter. She is discovering her love for snow and learning all about being part of a human/canine family. She has the natural husky love for the cold and outdoor adventure, but without the constant talk-howling and extra fluff of her breed. She is also quite petit at just 40 lbs!
It was clear from the beginning that Madison’s love language is pack walks. It fills our hearts with joy to see her shed her nerves and brighten up when she goes on a walk with her foster family. She has come so far from being afraid of humans (so much that she shook when approached) to now laying around with her foster dog sisters getting human pets and playing chase and wrestle in the yard.
Being with other dogs is what makes Madison most comfortable and she has paid close attention to her foster sisters to learn the ropes. She still has a little ways to go to really relax with people and will need a gentle and patient home. She also needs a home where she can continue to be with other dogs that match her activity level. Madison is okay with older children that understand boundaries and are used to being around dogs, but would not be a good fit for a home with younger kids while she is still so easily spooked when approached.
Madison’s rescue dog story started on Valentine’s Day 2023 when she was picked up by a very full shelter system with an extremely caring staff. In 2024 she’s looking for her forever Valentine - could that be you?!
**Madison is just over a year and a half old, and weighs 40 pounds. Her adoption fee is $375.
