You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Mateo but my foster mom calls me shorty, probably because of my short legs. I am a basset hound but my face looks a lot like a German shepherd. I'm very sweet and affectionate. I sleep quietly in my crate at night and I haven't had any accidents at my foster moms house. Some nice people in Mexico found me when I was living on the streets and struggling to find food. I recently made a very long trip up to MN and now I'm hoping to find a warm home with loving people. I'm not sure how I would do in a home with cats because I haven't met one yet. I love other friendly dogs but I'm not very good at sharing my food and treats so those need to be put away when I'm playing with other dogs. I'm not sure how I would do with kids but I bet I would love them. I love humans. Can I be your new family member? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
