My Story

**FENCE REQUIRED** Fostered in Gulf Breeze, FL MEET MIA! Mia is delightfully sweet 6 month old mantle great dane puppy looking for her forever home! Mia is probably the easiest foster dog I have ever fostered! Mia is a perfect lil bundle of joy, spunk, affection and playfulness! She is dog, cat, kid and all people and creature friendly as she is very young and a wonderful blank slate! Mia is currently being fostered in a home with 5 other dogs. She gets along swimmingly with all dogs of different sizes. She absolutely LOVES playing with her big brother Angus and would truly benefit from a doggy playmate in the home, although I don't specifically think it is necessary if you provide her with lots of play and snuggles.  Mia is fully potty trained and crate trained, although you do need to make sure the latches are secure on the crate as she will try to open the door sometimes when she is bored. We use a carabiner at the top and bottom of the crate door to be safe and make sure she doesn't get her head stuck trying to escape. Once she realizes the door isnt budging she settles down and is a perfect crate girl, no accidents, no destruction of blankies or toys. She loves to have a bone in her crate to chew on.  Mia was found on the streets starving and has come so far with building her confidence in her foster home, likely due to her canine siblings showing her the ropes. She does spook easily and does not like to be grabbed by her collar or back end while she is running away. This will set off a fear peeing episode. Now that we know she does not like that, it is very easy to avoid grabbing her and we haven't had any fear peeing episodes since. Since she spooks easily, she wears a 3 - point harness to prevent her from backing out, as well as a martingale collar when she goes on walks. This is just extra safety precaution to make sure she doesn't end up back on the streets. She seems to walk well on the leash so far! Mia's personality and temperament are astonishingly sweet, affectionate, and playful considering that she was a street dog just a short time ago! She loves laying sprawled across your lap or snuggled up to your chest. She loves to play tug of war and is starting to turn into puppy gremlin due to feeling safe, but in the best way. She can be bitey as a young puppy but it is very easy to curb by putting a toy in her mouth. She sleeps in a crate at the end of our bed at night perfectly fine, but would snuggle in bed with you if you want (she's a stretcher, so beware haha).  Overall, Mia is such a perfect growing puppy and I'm positive she will be scooped up fast! So do not hesitate if you are looking for the perfect pup to add to your family as Mia is it! Mia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $400.
