Hi there! My name is Midge, and I am a stunning treeing walker coonhound around 2 years old. I came to HoundSong from a sad situation, but I am blossoming into a more amazing dog every single day as I move forward from my past. While I can be shy when meeting new people, once I know you are a safe person, I am ALL in! I am a snuggly, affectionate girl who loves to rest my head on your lap after a long day of playing and adventures. And I hope you love a little wet nose in your ear because I love sniff you up and down.

I am a pretty well-mannered girl too. When it is eating time, I go straight to my crate and wait for my meal to be served. I LOVE positive praise from my foster parents, so I try to listen and be the best girl. However, sometimes my houndy ways still interfere...IFYKYK!

It is important to know that I will need a secure fence as I will climb a fence if I think there is a critter near by. I do have a big hunt drive, so I will need a home without cats or other small critters. However, I LOVE other dogs. I can romp and play with the best of them, and my foster siblings have really helped me build my confidence. Oh...and I am house and crate trained!

No meet and greets will be scheduled without the completion and approval of an adoption application. All our dogs live in foster homes, so a meet and greet will have to be scheduled with the foster family.

HoundSong Rescue dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. HoundSong Rescue also offers Fi Collars for an additional $100 fee. Fi Collars are GPS collars with many other features we find valuable when owning a hound. Our amazing adoption coordinators will happily answer any questions you have in regards to the Fi Collar and the dog you are interested in adopting.
