My Story

Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application. Our ADOPTION application is found at www.seniorhearts.org/how-to-adopt Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Please select "More About Us" for further details on our adoption requirements. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process. We look forward to receiving your application in hopes that you are able to meet our adoption requirements and provide this dog with a loving furever home. And now a few words from Molly. I am 8 years young and weigh about 12 pounds. I'm a young and active little senior lady. I like to go on walks, run, and jump. I will jump on anything! I'm still learning about the big world out there. So I can be a bit shy when meeting new people. But just give me a little bit of time and I promise I will be jumping on you with excitement for attention! I certainly do love receiving affection from humans that I know and trust. I like other dogs my size. I can be a bit pushy. Not because I'm mean, but because I'm still learning some manners. Therefore it would be best for me to live with dogs that don't mind a bit of pushiness. I do require another dog in my adoptive home. They can help me learn a routine. And after all, who doesn't want a friend. I am in excellent health. I just got spayed and had a dental surgery. I am up to date on vaccinations and current on preventatives for flea, tick, and heartworm. I'm also house trained. Yay for me! I can be adopted within a two-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA. If you are interested in giving me a furever home, you must first complete the adoption application at www.seniorhearts.org/how-to-adopt
