Hello there! My name is Nash, and I’m a two-year-old pit bull terrier mix with a tan and white coat that’s just as unique as my personality. Weighing in at a healthy 37 pounds, I’m a male pup who’s been neutered and vaccinated, so I’m all set for our adventures together. Now, I must admit, I’m on a bit of a health journey—I’m heartworm positive, but fear not, for I’m receiving excellent care from my rescue who’s providing me with monthly preventatives until I’m all clear. They’re taking great care of me! I’m quite the scholar when it comes to home life; I’m house trained, leash trained, kennel trained, and even doggy door trained. I’m a social butterfly, good with children and other dogs, though I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet. If that’s important to you, just let my rescue know, and they’ll arrange for me to be cat tested. I’m a sweet boy who loves to love and be loved. Sure, I might get a little vocal in my kennel—it’s my inner dinosaur coming out—but once I’m free, I’m all wags and smiles. I adore playing in the backyard, chasing balls, and indulging in my favorite treat—a Kong filled with peanut butter. I was confiscated from my owner who was sent to jail for neglect and abuse on account of how malnourished I was. My past may have been rough, but it’s made me the trusting and loving dog I am today. Rescued from a situation no animal should ever experience, I’ve kept my spirit and trust in humans intact. Currently fostered in Covington, TN, I can be transported to other states for the right family. You must be 21 or older to apply for my adoption.
