My Story

ODIN is a gorgeous, impressive dog who needs an owner or foster with livestock guardian dog experience. He's a Central Asian Shepherd, which also goes by many other names such as Central Asian Sheepdog, Middle Asian Ovcharka, Turkmen Alabai, Aziat, and more. We had to pick the closest match for the listing. He's friendly and smart, and very large at 122 lbs currently, and should probably be at more like 135-140. He's fully vetted. But as we said, he obviously needs a certain type of home in order to thrive. Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. Please fill out an APPLICATION here for consideration: www.tinyurl.com/appshdr (copy and paste link into browser window if link is not active in your browser). We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
