My Story

**Pancake is in a foster home and not living at the kennel.** Humans have failed poor Pancake! He needs a calm and patient family that is willing to build his confidence and trust. Pancake is timid around people especially adults. He seems to find older calmer kids to be less threatening than adults, so he comes to kids on his own time faster than he does adults. Lord knows what some adults did to him in his past life. In time and after he gets super comfortable with you, he will give you kisses and cuddle with you. He just needs time for that bond to develop. His favorite snack is probably his kibble because that is what his foster family use all day. A treat (his dog food) is given to Pancake every time his foster family walks by him. He is learning that not all people are bad people. His walls are slowly coming down and we couldn’t be happier. Pancake is good with cats. He sniffs them and doesn't chase the two cats in his foster home. His favorite toy is anything that makes noise, ESPECIALLY squeaker toys. He is learning to play independently with his toys and is even playing fetch to an extent. His foster family couldn’t be prouder of his progress. He enjoys his bone at night before bed. Pancake also loves the comfort of a crate with the door left open. Requirements to adopt Pancake: Must have physically fenced in yard. Must have another confident dog in the home. If there are any children in the home, they would need to be calm and respectful as well as over 8 years old. He's a good boy who needs a caring patient family to succeed. Are you that family for him? If you are interested in Pancake, and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and his foster mom will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying.*
