My Story

Everyone meet Peanut! Peanut is a 2 month old APBT mix who is looking for her forever home. Peanut is a very sweet girl, and loves treats! She is a very active little girl and will need a home that is ready and willing to meet her physical and mental needs. Peanut loves playtime with her siblings and humans. Because she is a puppy, she will need a lot of socialization and exposure to help her grow into the amazing girl she will be! Because she is not big enough for her spay just yet, Peanut is looking for a foster to adopt home. The foster process includes an orientation and regular trips back to the shelter for vaccines, weigh-ins, and general check-ups, and returning for the spay surgery when it is time. The shelter will provide all supplies and socialization protocols. Once she has been spayed, she will be adopted out to her new family. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via FB Messenger or email us at [email protected] for an application. You can also find one on our website at http://johnsoncountyanimalshelter.com/adopt/. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can set an appointment to meet the pet!
