PETRA is anxiously awaiting a forever home. She is a very loving, happy 2 year old Australian Cattle dog possibly husky mix looking for an active family to share life with. Petra is about 60lbs, spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention. She is young, playful, energetic girl who would be a great running/hiking/adventure companion. She is a complete sweetheart who is true to her breed, loyal and devoted to her people - just a wonderful girl. Petra has the cutest personality with loads of love to give. She loves all people, likes to cuddle and knows how to relax after she has some exercise. Petra is kid friendly and plays well with them and is gentle when playing with kids. We recommend a home with kids ages 5 years and older. Petra is dog friendly but needs a leader to help her know her boundaries and continue her training. She can be an only dog if she gets daily exercise and plenty of attention from her humans. She likes to play a lot, so a dog her size or larger would be the best fit. Petra has been ok around cats but needs close supervision initially. Petra also has great house manners - she is housetrained and crate trained. She displays no destructive behaviors and is not a big barker, but will alert you if someone is at the door. Petra is also very intelligent. She is a quick learning girl who knows basic commands like 'sit, down, lay, come, down'. She comes when you call her name, if she's not already following you around. She is also treat motivated and takes treats gently. She also walks well on leash and off leash she has good recall and like to stays close to her people.
