I'm Precious, a stunning 4-year-old terrier-mixed breed (says so on my vet records) on a mission to find my forever home. My past might be a bit mysterious, but one thing's for sure – I'm a survivor! Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas on the very day I was scheduled to say goodbye, I'm now soaking up the love with my foster family in Barrington, NH. Let me tell you a bit about myself. At 37lbs, I'm a picture of beauty, with a head that feels like velvet and eyes that sparkle a unique shade of green. I've had my fair share of adventures, including being a mom in the recent past. But now, I'm ready to be the center of attention as your go-to couch companion, chew toy enthusiast, and lap-loving snuggle bug. I'm all about people, especially the guys! Actually, I haven’t met someone I haven’t loved and immediately accepted. Once, I had to go to the kennel when my bedroom got flooded and I started kissing and giving love to the kennel workers as soon as I walked in the door- I had never even met them- that’s just me. While I adore spending time with my humans, I'm also content with some downtime in my cozy crate – as long as it's stocked with blankets and chew toys, of course. I've shared my space with other dogs before, but a reactive playmate might not be my cup of kibble. Speaking of companionship, I have a BFF named Arnold – we're like two peas in a pod, both snugglers at heart. Ideally, we'd love to find a forever home together, without other pets to steal our spotlight, but if you only have room for one in your pack- I’d do well. In the perfect world, my new home would be free of feline friends and feathered pals. While my foster family hasn't seen me with kids, my charm and affection are ready to enrich any family dynamic. On the health front, I'm spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and currently conquering heartworm treatment. By mid-April, I'll be free and clear, ready to embark on new adventures with you!
