QUINCY - Paws Behind Bars Trained

QUINCY is a one-year-old, mixed breed male who currently weighs 54 lbs. He's as tall as he's going to get, but there's room to fill out. He came to us from a local shelter where he was found running with a couple of other dogs on the interstate. (Not a good idea.) The other dogs were reclaimed but not Quincy. His joy ride ended up with a "room" at the shelter. Don't let his serious expression fool you; he's a big, goofy, "floofy" puppy! Because he is, he's currently in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog program. He and his inmate have really hit it off, and there's a lot of fun time in-between the training sessions. Quincy is smart and athletic. It's the inmates' favorite kind of dog to train! It won't take any time to master crate, leash and house-training, not to mention "sit," "down," "stay," and "come!" Quincy is also working on his social skills. He's met many new people at the prison, and there are no issues there! Quincy is also very playful with the other dogs. He's really quite a camera hog, and he's always eager to show you how handsome he is! Quincy will be a great companion for an active family! He'll be a good fit for older children and other dogs (with the proper introduction). We are skeptical on whether or not cats will work? (He chases the birds all day long.) He needs a good, fenced yard to keep him from wandering again.
