Rocco

Hey friends! I realized I haven’t officially introduced myself so here it goes: I’m Rocco! I’m an easygoing 1 year old boxer mix. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, and I’m only 60lbs! Some people say that I look bigger in my pictures than I really am—but I think I’m the perfect size! I’m currently going through heartworm treatment but I will be done with that in May and then I’ll be ready to go to my new home! I love pretty much everyone and everything. I wag my tail at everyone I see, hoping that they will want to say hi to me. I’d even do well in a household with children! I love to play with the resident dog in my foster home and I’ve made a couple other dog friends along the way since I was transported from the shelter in Texas. I haven’t been around cats but I think I could easily live with a kitty. I struggle a bit with being left alone—I just really enjoy the company of humans! I am hoping to find a human or two who will be patient with me as I settle in and perhaps they can even take me on adventures so I don’t have to be alone very often. I don’t do well kenneled without a human present so it would be better if I could free roam in an area that is Rocco-proofed. I don’t get into anything but I sometimes pace and whine. I would also be a wonderful office dog—the best office boy there ever was! I don’t meant to toot my own horn but everyone I have met has said what a good boy I am. Apparently I’m a “once in a lifetime dog”. My foster human even mentioned that I have a great temperament for a therapy dog which sounds fancy! Pretty cool, right? I don’t jump and I don’t counter-surf. I’m a pretty low energy guy and I love to cuddle. I walk well on leash and I’m a dream in the car. I’m just an all-around good boy!
