Rodney – Labrador Retriever mix – 3 ½ yrs – male (70lbs) Meet our handsome boy, Rodney! Rodney was surrendered to a shelter up north when his owners moved and said they had no room for him in the car. What?!? What a ridiculous reason for him to lose his home! We will never understand why, but he then sat at that shelter for almost a full year! Well Rodney, you deserve a home where no one would ever consider leaving you behind and we’re going to find you the perfect family. Rodney has been so much fun to have around! He walks well on a leash and if he starts to pull, he corrects very easily. He knows basic commands and listens well; he truly wants to be a good boy and we know he is! We know Rodney lived in a house (at least for some time) and he seems to be housebroken, he has no accidents at all in his kennel. He plays well with other dogs and has a few “play-buddies” at our shelter. Our boy is an athlete; he will make a great hiking, jogging, and all-around outdoor activity companion. He loves to be close and enjoys people of all ages. He will roll over for a tummy rub easily and gives kisses without hesitation. Rodney is smart, loyal, and eager to please.
