Roman

Roman was rescued from a hoarding situation. He has been in the rescue for a few months with other dogs. He does well with people and dogs. He is happy-go-lucky and wags his whole body when he is excited. He loves to play with chewy bones. Roman is one of our favorite dogs. He is always full of joy. If you are having a bad day, just seek Roman and his goofy smile will cheer you up. He gives the best love to all. Just kneel in front of him and touch foreheads. He will give the slightest kiss or nose bump. Bigger dogs have attacked him. He is NEVER aggressive and quite literally lets them attack. We have had to keep him apart from his brother for this reason. Roman has always been a gentleman. Roman loves running up and down the yard with the 75 lb. German Shepherd next door. They have never met but they play through the fence all day long. Roman is kennel trained and housebroken. Our dogs are let outside from their kennels so there is not much time in the home to test though he has never used the restroom in the dog room on his way out or in his kennel. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. All animals are currently in MS. Mississippi is overpopulated with too many animals, not enough adopters, and many high kill shelters. For Pet's Sake Rescue saves each animal from a different background. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** For Pet's Sake Rescue transports animals to other states for better adoption potential. Our goal is to keep animals alive and out of kennels into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Each animal is quarantined and vetted during their time in our care. Each adopted pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and has current flea treatment unless otherwise noted. Once we review your application and check your vet reference, we will contact you to proceed. If both parties agree to the adoption, we will send you an Adoption Contract with an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your pet is "on hold" for you to pick up or we can transport the pet to a designated location closer to you via transport. Transports are arranged for specific dates. We will discuss these dates and locations with you during the initial phone call. We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
