My Story

Meet Rose Nylund! This Golden Girl has waited almost 2 years in a shelter to find her people and is ready to live out her golden years in a warm bed surrounded by love. She was held as evidence as part of an animal cruelty case, but she's now free and clear to find a home all her own. And boy, does she deserve it! Rose is a special kind of special! She is seriously the exact kind of dog everyone says they want - she is easy to care for and even easier to love. She has an innocent and wiggly warmth to her and at 7-years young is still playful and full of life. And despite what she has been through, this Oreo Blizzard still has pep in her step and would make a great companion for a lucky family. Rose is a full-figured black beauty who has a sophisticated velvet and stormy coat and curves on curves on curves on curves. She would be happy to lose a few lbs in her new home and would love some low-key walks before snuggling on the couch. And those eyes! Be still my heart. Rose is in good health, walks great on leash, knows basic commands, and loves to love. She knows how to keep it sassy and classy all at the same time. And her mature age means she is housetrained, non-destructive, and content to simply be adored. Rose has said "no thanks" to cats and small dogs but has definitely liked some bigger male dogs. Due to her long-stay in a stressful shelter environment, we believe Rose's ideal first stop would need to be as the only pet in an adult-only home to give her valuable time to decompress from what she's been through. In return, she will give you love, loyalty, snuggles, and a deep sense of gratitude. We can't wait until she looks back on her plight as just another nonsensical story about St. Olaf. Due to her size and lack of history, older kids would be best for this midnight-hued and kind-hearted spirit. Rose Nylund's top 3 priorities: 1. A family. Seriously, that's it. After so many months behind bars, this girl deserves a chance! 2. A family that will give her quiet time to decompress from shelter life and go at her own pace. 3. A warm bed to call her own where Rose can relax and feel safe and loved. A special thank you to Bark at the Moon Photography for your expertise, love, and patience in capturing this Golden Girl so perfectly on her way to her happily-ever-after!
