My Story

Hi! Im Rupella - Roxie for short! I am the sweetest girl & even though I would love to stay with my foster family forever, I know that in order for them to save my shelter friends they want me to find the best and loving home! DAS has me listed as a 2 years old but my foster mom thinks Im more like 3 or 4. Im pretty chill and have a little bit of gray on my muzzle but hey it happens to the best of us! I am also told that I am the perfect size! Not too big, not too small, Im just right! I am learning manners & my foster dad works with me everyday! My favorite part are the treats! I am a quick learner & know all the basic commands. I love walks (we have to take short ones for now thanks heartworms ????) but I do great on the leash! I also LOVE car rides! I got a little scared going thru the car wash but realized I was safe and quickly calmed down! I love a good bath too & am the best girl when getting one! I also love to sleep. I dont make a peep until my foster family lets me out of my room in the morning. Its so nice not waking up to my barking friends. I literally love everyone especially kiddos! My 9 year old foster sister is the one who named me actually! I also get along great with my foster fur brother (playgroup: Dainty & gentle). He is little & we both just do our own thing! Did I mention he looks like a squirrel! I love watching for squirrels but thankfully I know the difference between a real squirrel & my foster brother, my foster mom really appreciates that! I have my very own dog room so I dont have to be crated. My foster mom feels confident I would be fine out of the crate if you have to leave as my favorite thing to do is be lazy (preferably on a couch but I will listen (after a few tries of course) and lay on my dog bed if I have too. I am also housebroken! See I told you I am the perfect doggie!! I am heartworm positive but the shelter will treat me for free once Im adopted! My foster family told me there is nothing to be worried about & Ill be extra healthy once treatment is done! From Roxies foster parents! Roxie is the sweetest girl! She is housebroken, dog and kid friendly & truly just wants to snuggle & cuddle all day long. She will try & get on the couch or bed. We havent been allowing it so she has learned that no matter how cute & sweet she is we dont want to spoil her in case her new family prefers her to stay off the furniture. Her favorite thing is belly rubs & she is such a sweet & loyal soul! She walks great on a leash, isnt bothered by her 18lb cocker spaniel brother & will sleep in her room with no issues or in the bedroom on a dog bed with no issues. She also loves chilling outside & would make a great sports watching dog. She is SO easy & will make a great pet!
