My Story

Ruby, Lil Roo, is everything you expect in a pup. She's sweet, smart, funny, playful, but will also eat your shoes and try to pull off your pants for your attention. She plays hard and sleeps hard. She is currently being fostered with other dogs who are not fans of having a puppy around, so she is quickly learning boundaries though at times she chooses not to respect them. Like a child, she acts out when she's overtired and gets herself in trouble with her foster mom, cats and dogs. She will get feisty and bitey when she's tired, so that is when it's time to put her in her own space with a bone that she will gnaw on until she decides to close her eyes. Ruby loves everyone and everything. She enjoys meeting new people and will automatically roll on her back for belly rubs. She loves being outside and is already trying to climb trees and rocks when she sees them, she'd be a great hiking companion. She is also extremely observant and will sit and watch anything new before deciding if she wants to go after it or stay away from it. Ruby knows sit, down, stay and come. She loves to play fetch but is working on giving the ball back. Potty training and walking on a leash (she will sit and not budge if she doesn't want to go) are still works in progress. She sleeps in a crate at night and while her foster mom is out of the house. She also goes to work with her foster mom a few days a week and really enjoys a busy day at the office with visits from the delivery guys and company reps. Requirements: Ruby will need a 6 ft fenced in yard, she is already a jumper and a climber. Ideally, we are looking for a family that understands herding breeds and their needs and has other dogs (larger) that she can play and learn from. She is already too rough for small dogs. Her spay appointment is 2/19 and the price is included in her adoption. It is REQUIRED that adopter drop her off to the transporter the morning she is to be fixed.
