Ruger is described as a 'Couch Potato'. Like the easy life? Then I’m the perfect match for you. I’m a relaxed, laid-back kind of dog who enjoys long naps, watching movies, curling up on laps, and walking very short distances from the couch to the food bowl and back. (Internally motivated).


Ruger is a male Terrier and mixed breed who is 8 years old who is funny and energetic. When he enters the room, you will know since he pants, makes eye contact, and always wants to sit next to you.

His life recently took a very sad turn when his owner passed away so he came to our shelter.

He would do best as an only dog since he doesn't do so well with other dogs, but he does do fine with cats.

He loves walks and does well on leash. He is very attentive and social to people.

Ruger is sweet and gentle and will bring much love into the home that chooses him.

All our dogs have been spayed or neutered or arrangements will be made if currently too young. They will be treated for fleas, bathed, vaccinated against distemper/parvo, treated against general parasites, and if of age, tested for heart worms and vaccinated against rabies. If underage for these things at the time of adoption, they are to be done at the adopter’s cost when the dog becomes of age. They will be microchipped at the time of adoption.
