My Story

Ryder is a 6 year old, Bloodhound mix. He was brought to the shelter after his original owner was no longer able to care for him. Ryder is neutered, updated on his vaccinations, flea treated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped. He did test positively for lymes and is currently undergoing treatment. This handsome boy is a gentle giant. He has a super easy-going personality that'll allow him to fit in perfectly with nearly any home. Ryder enjoys the company of people of all ages as well as most other dogs, though he would do best without any cats. Being the hound that he is, Ryder loves being outdoors doing anything from going for walks, soaking up the sun with you, or exploring. Aside from that, Ryder is content doing whatever you'd like to do. As long as he's with you, he's happy! Ryder walks well on a leash and knows several of his basic commands such as "sit". We believe him to be housetrained. If you are interested in adopting Ryder, please fill out an adoption application using our website (echumanesociety.org) and a member of staff will be in touch with you as soon as possible. You are also more than welcome to stop in anytime during our regular business hours and meet Ryder in person! Feel free to call the shelter at (814) 834-3247 if you have any questions.
