Sampson

He always has a grin on his face! Sampson is a happy-go-lucky 2-year-old Golden Retriever (may be a high mix) that weighs in around 65#. Sampson came to Haven on Earth Rescue after living on a chain for his short life. This boisterous teenager has lots of energy and is up for trying most anything! He loves to play with tennis balls/frisbees, LOVES to splash around in water sources and is a fun playmate for other kids with his energy level. Sampson rides well in the car and is very loving. He has a lot of living to make up for and still needs some training (he gets excited sometimes and forgets his manners and may jump up to get attention). He is very respectful of the cats in his foster home as well. Here are the minimal requirements for Sampson’s furever living arrangements: • Must have an active lifestyle that includes a minimum of 2-45 minutes of walking/running sessions regardless of the weather conditions • Must have a family that is willing to provide training with positive reinforcement • Must have humans home most of the time (no more than 5 hours home alone per 24-hour period) or be given the opportunity to attend daycare (he is a great candidate!) • Must have a fenced backyard (he needs room to run and romp and burn off energy in a safe environment) • All adults must be over the age of 6 years old (due to his energy and playfulness) • Living near/access to water is a plus • Must love a high energy dog and all that entails! • Must be willing to pick up at a stop that our USDA transporter stops at in the NE • This is a long-distance adoption to Northeastern states only, he is being fostered in the Southern U.S. Sampson will make a wonderful family dog.
