My Story

ADOPTION APPLICATION link (Copy and Paste into your browser) https://forms.gle/zezEUmXv2uXftqk18 Saylor is from a breeder surrender. He currently weighs 3 1/2 lbs as of March 15th. You can see videos of this litter on our Facebook Reels, Greg King Canine Recovery Breeder surrendered this litter of puppies to our rescue because the mother is a purebred Old English Sheepdog. The daddy of the litter is unknown. Tail was docked by breeder's veterinarian Birthday 1/27/24 1st Distemper Parvo vaccination 3/12/24 1st Dewormer 3/12/24 2nd Distemper Parvo vaccination scheduled for 3/28/24 Health Certificate exam scheduled for 3/27/24 We transport once a month to: Arnold, MIssouri 828 Arnold Commons Drive PETSMART Parking Lot Springfield, Illinois 3183 S Veterans Pkwy PETSMART Parking Lot Bourbonnais, Illinois 2046 IL-50 PETCO Parking Lot Kalamazoo, Michigan Wal-Mart Supercenter on N. 9th Street Parking Lot Our next transport is scheduled for Thursday, April 4th, 2024 If necessary, you may designate someone else to pick up your puppy. Just let us know ahead of time. You will choose your pick up location on the "Transport Roster" Total cost of adopting this puppy is the $300 adoption fee listed on the PetFinder listing plus $75 transport fee for a total of $375 The $75 transport fee is due to secure the transport and delivery from Texas to Missouri, Illinois and Michigan, but adoption fee is not due until you pick up the puppy at your selection location. $75 goes toward transport expenses, primarily fuel and van maintenance and the adoption fee goes toward vaccinations and veterinary care, food and shelter for the 80+ dogs and puppies that we continuously foster. Step 1 complete adoption application Step 2 If your application is approved, you will receive an APPROVAL LETTER via text… PLEASE READ ALL THE LETTER. It contains important information that you will need to know concerning the adoption and transport process. Step 3. Complete TRANSPORT ROSTER INFORMATION FORM which will also be sent to your cell phone number. This form will allow you to select your pick up location and pay the $75 transport fee Step 4. I will send a text to those of you who are adopting this month when Greg and I leave on our transport route….typically the transport van leaves Texarkana Texas about 6-7 PM the day BEFORE your pick up date The text will start the notification process as we travel toward your selected pick up location. Step 5 go to the pick up location you have selected and pick up your dog or puppy and their folder of information. Pay the adoption fee either using one of the apps provided or cash or check. Please go to Facebook Reels under Greg King and Greg King Canine Recovery to see our past transports and people picking up their new family members at the various locations. You will receive a folder with your pup’s shot record, and other relevant health info. You will need to get that when you take your puppy to your vet for additional vaccines as he/she recommends. Once you complete the application for adoption, we will process your application and if approved, you will then receive an approval letter and a second form called the transport roster information form. Before the status changes from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $75 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we stop accepting applications for that particular puppy/dog. Even though you receive an adoption approval letter, the puppy will not transported unless the transport fee is paid. Consequently, if another applicant is approved later, but pays the transport fee first, the applicant who pays the transport fee secures the adoption of that particular dog or puppy. It is the responsibility of the new owner to have an unaltered puppy spayed or neutered at five to six months of age as outlined in the adoption contract. Thank you for considering sharing your home and your heart with a rescue puppy
