Scotty Mojo Chihuahua & Whippet Mix Bodfish, CA

Scotty Mojo came to us on Giving Tuesday 2023 from the City of Bakersfield Animal Care Center. He is the leader of the PowerPuff girls (Bubbles, Buttercup & Bl-Awesome). He was a shelter staff favorite and we rescued him the same day he was scheduled for euthanasia.

Hmmm, hello. I'm Scotty Mojo and I'd appreciate it if you stayed more over that way.. farther from me... farther. Thank you. I would much prefer to come to you when I feel good and ready. I gotta make sure that I trust you first, so no touchy yet! Once I do decide I like you, then I'll be your best bud and will wanna hop up on you and give kisses! I even like being around the humans more than my dog friends here. I will tolerate the other dogs, but I can do without them as well. I'll maybe play for a bit, but would much rather wander around the yard and explore or hang with the human. I do enjoy playing with the ball a bit and chewing on a chew bone. I'm working on getting used to the leash and how to sit! The humans still take new things slow with me, so I don't get too scared. I was so scared when they tried to put a baby wipe in my ear to clean it, but when they got it in there I realized it actually felt pretty good! I just never had that happen before, so I was scared. They're trying to show me that not everything is something to be afraid of! I'm looking for a forever family that will be patient with me and give me the time and understanding that I may need in all these new changes and adventures.
