This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet the incredibly handsome Simmons, an approximately 2 1/2 year old, 46-pound Husky/Shepherd mix young fellow.

And you are about to be shocked when you read this sentence because this boy has been waiting to meet his match for a WELL OVER A YEAR! What? Those eyes, that smile, his beautiful coat. He wouldn't last two minutes on Match.com but for some reason his true love family hasn't swiped in the right direction yet!

Simmons foster says if he could talk about himself this is what she thinks he would tell you..."I am the neighborhood flirt! I am confident in MY stellar good looks and eyes like the ocean BUT I am a gentleman (That's what my foster mom says). I am an extrovert pup looking for my extrovert human. I was an orphaned pup that was hit by a car, a nice lady picked me up and kept me safe until my foster mom arrived. I had surgery on my right front leg to fix the damage. My foster mom said I am even better than new!!! I am able to run, walk, hike or whatever the exercise might be. Nothing will stop me. Can I go on adventures with you?"

Simmons loves other dogs - they are his best friends. So he would love a canine sibling but it is definitely not a must - he would also do fine with human best friends only. This boy LOVES to play! He is active, eager to learn, and will be easily trainable for someone who has the time. He loves all people, and has never met a stranger! And he loves attention too. Give him belly rubs all day long and he is the happiest boy on the planet! He also loves nylabones - yummm. Simmons will do best with older kids due to his excitement level. He is not well suited for a home with cats or small animals - he thinks they are fun to chase.

This boy is truly the total package - good looks, great personality, and a loving companion.
