Let me introduce you to Skye, our blue-eyed beauty with a heart full of love and a tail that wags to your voice as you speak to her. Skye's journey has been a rollercoaster ride, but she's here to prove that life can be filled with joy even in the face of adversity. From her pups being taken away too early to ending up at a shelter that was euthanizing for space and then being failed by humans.
Skye received is flourishing in rescue. And boy, did she shine! Now, this radiant girl is the epitome of happiness, affection, and ready to please. She thrives with structure and routine. Skye got her leash-walking skills down to a T and enjoys pack walks, gets along nicely with other dogs, as long as they're well mannered and introduced slowly and properly. She knows that making friends is serious business, and playtime with her friends is one of her favorite pastime!
Manners? Skye's got 'em. She's well-behaved and a total people-pleaser. She's able to politely wait for the cue and make eye contact to wait for permission at the door!
Now, here's the real puzzler: why on earth has Skye not found her forever home yet? We're just as baffled as you are. Maybe people can't handle her level of adorable? Or perhaps they're intimidated by her shining personality or beautiful piercing eyes? Whatever the reason, it's time for Skye to find the family she truly deserves. She needs an experienced handler as she is a strong girl and has a knack for chasing squirrels. She does best with a schedule and structured home to allow her to continue her training regimen. As for kiddos: Skye has been in a home with kids ages 6 and 12, and she loves her kiddos. She does best with older respectful kids.
