Sophie Girl
Adopted
Breed
Border Collie & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix
MEET Sophie Girl
Age: 3
Weight: 38
Sophie is an incredibly intelligent and energetic dog, perfect for an active and experienced family. Her border collie-mix traits make her a quick learner, and her desire to be the pack leader showcases her strong personality. With the right guidance and care, she can thrive in a loving environment. She is responsive when directed to come, go and when called by her name. Her overall demeanor is calm, sweet, and loyal. She is sometimes reactive to other larger dogs. She will generally only bark at them. She will bark and look back at foster as if saying do you need protection?
Her genetic mix lends her to want to serve or have a purpose so she is better suited for an active family where she will not be left alone all day. She is crate trained and has quickly learned to go to the bathroom outside.
At 3 years old and 38 lbs, Sophie is fully prepared for her forever home. She has a beautiful, feathered coat with typical Cattle Dog check print on her legs and chest in shades of gray and a white tipped tail. She has beautiful brown eyes.
Her ideal family would be one that can dedicate time and energy to keep her active and engaged. A household with other dogs might be a plus, providing her with companionship and playmates. A home with a backyard and secure fences will help her get the exercise she needs.
With love, exercise, and guidance, Sophie promises to be a loyal and loving member of the family, offering endless joy and devotion in return. If you're ready to welcome this beautiful Harlequin dog into your heart and home, she's patiently waiting to become your forever baby.

The best way to keep a dog happy is to simply provide for their physical, intellectual, and emotional needs. Make sure they have a healthy diet, an appropriate amount of exercise, enough mental stimulation, and lots of love and affection.
Not only do animals give you unconditional love, but they have been shown to be psychologically, emotionally and physically beneficial to their companions. Caring for a pet can provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment and lessen feelings of loneliness.
Note: Paws Fur Hope does are best to provide all the info we can, assess their medical needs and treat if possible. Please remember that abandoned animals need time and patience to adjust.
